Hydraulic fitting torque is standardized

Unlike structural bolts, SAE O-ring boss (ORB) hydraulic fitting torque is set by thread size, not by machine: roughly 22-26 ft-lbs for 9/16"-18, 36-44 ft-lbs for 3/4"-16, 55-65 ft-lbs for 7/8"-14, and 75-85 ft-lbs for 1-1/16"-12. Over-torque cracks or distorts the seat and causes leaks under operating pressure; under-torque lets the fitting back out. Never use thread sealant on an ORB face seal.

Track drive and structural fasteners

Sprocket, idler, and roller mount bolts on tracked machines work loose under vibration — OEM service manuals specify re-torque intervals (often after the first 50 hours). Swing-bearing bolts, counterweight bolts, and boom/loader-arm pivot pins are safety-critical and frequently require a specific tightening sequence rather than a single value; always follow the machine-specific manual and replace any fastener showing stretch or damage.
